Frequently asked questions
Who is eligible to list?
Any hedge fund or alternative investment strategy operating in or targeting Europe (or global managers with a European presence) can list. You should meet the criteria set for your relevant strategy category, including minimum assets under management, track record period, and compliance of data submission.
What data or information will I need to provide?
You will typically need to supply:
- Fund name, strategy, AUM (assets under management) and inception date
- Recent performance data (returns, risk‑adjusted metrics)
- Strategy classification (e.g., European equity, macro, multi‑strategy)
- Fundamentals such as manager biography, firm background and investor base
-
Confirmation that you consent to our use of performance figures in short‑listing and publicity.
Is there a cost to listing?
Listing is generally free. It allows you to be considered for nomination. If you progress to nomination or wish to attend the awards ceremony with a table, there may be associated costs (nomination fees or ticket/hosting fees). Please check the current terms for the relevant awards year.
How does listing improve my chances of nomination?
By listing you ensure your fund is captured in the awards database and available for our quantitative screening and short‑listing process. Without listing, we may not have your data in time to evaluate you for the relevant category.
What happens after I submit the listing form?
After you submit:
- We’ll acknowledge receipt and provide any follow‑up questions or clarifications required. Your fund goes into the pool of candidate funds for the awards.
- At the screening stage you may be shortlisted; if nominated you’ll be notified and given next steps (e.g., attendance, marketing materials).
-
If you win, your fund and firm will be publicly recognised at the awards event and across our communications.
What is the deadline to list?
The listing deadline occurs well ahead of the awards event in order to allow full evaluation, shortlisting and nomination. Each year we publish the key timelines — you should aim to list as early as possible to maximise your eligibility.
Do I need to provide audited performance or third‑party verification?
Where possible we encourage independent verification of performance data (e.g., audited statements, third‑party administrator reports), and funds may be asked to provide supporting documentation during short‑listing.
Does listing guarantee a nomination or award?
No — listing simply means your fund is eligible for consideration. Nomination and winning are based on performance, risk‑adjusted returns, peer‑group comparisons and other criteria. Only the top performing funds in each category will be shortlisted and awarded.
What is the benefit of being listed or nominated (even if I don’t win)?
Being listed and/or nominated gives your fund visibility in the industry, places you in a competitive pool of high‑performing funds, allows you to use “Nominated for EuroHedge Awards” in your marketing, and provides access to the networking and exposure opportunities associated with the awards.
Who do I contact if I have questions about listing?
